Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.

We are presently seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer leads site-wide operational excellence initiatives by applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance cross-functional collaboration. This role drives key CI projects, develops CI capability across the organization, and strengthens the culture of CI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage site-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to support strategic site priorities.
  • Ensure structured project execution and maintain centralized project documentation.
  • Provide regular project updates, KPI dashboards, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide teams in applying Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Deliver CI training programs (Yellow Belt and Green Belt) to build workforce capability.
  • Develop, improve, and standardize CI tools, templates, and project management processes.
  • Lead and promote Small Group Activities (SGA) to drive employee-led improvements.
  • Escalate project challenges or roadblocks to leadership for timely support.
  • Support site-wide efforts to embed and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Comply with procedure related with quality, environment, heath, and safety management system in respective area in-charge.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Continuous Improvement or related functions.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt certification is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Skilled in project management, facilitation, and data visualization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train, influence, and engage stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English communication both speaking and writing.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and the ability to work across functions.
