Job Description

PT Masmindo Dwi Area — Awak Mas Gold Project Head Office (On-site) · Full-time

Position Overview

Senior Commercial Manager leads all commercial, contractual, and revenue-related aspects of the Awak Mas Gold Project as it transitions from construction into operations. The role carries two mandates at once: safeguarding the major construction contracts currently in execution (administration, variations, claims, and disputes), while preparing the commercial foundation for operations — operational contracts, procurement strategy, and the gold sales and offtake framework needed ahead of first production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial administration of major project contracts in execution (EPC/EPCM, mining contractor, civil, power, heavy equipment, logistics), ensuring the Company's interests are protected.
  • Manage variation orders, claims, extensions of time, and disputes on large-value contracts, driving resolution on terms favourable to the Company.
  • Plan and tender the operational contracts required at production start-up (mining services, process reagents, consumables, maintenance, logistics), ensuring no contractual gap at the construction-to-operations handover.
  • Develop procurement and contracting strategy, embedding TKDN / local content and relevant mining regulatory obligations.
  • Own the end-to-end gold sales process — sales planning, buyer/offtaker coordination, shipment, settlement, and payment collection.
  • Establish and administer gold sales, refining, and offtake agreements — pricing, assay methodology, refining charges, penalties, and payment terms — ready ahead of first gold.
  • Ensure sales documentation and compliance (tax, royalty, insurance, customs, AML, authority limits), and maintain complete, auditable commercial records.
  • Ensure revenue assurance — reconcile production, assay, invoices, settlement, and cash receipts; report sales volume, realized price, and key risks to management.
  • Review commercial contracts and key terms from a commercial-risk, pricing, liability, and governance perspective; surface material risks to the Risk function.
  • Build and lead the commercial function for the operations phase — structure, SOPs, governance, and team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Metallurgy, Law, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of commercial experience in mining or heavy industry at a senior level, across contracts, procurement/supply chain, and commercial management.
  • Direct experience across the construction-to-operations transition of a mining, EPC, or major-capital project (strongly preferred).
  • Strong command of contract administration, variation and claims management, and dispute resolution on large-value contracts.
  • Experience in gold, mineral, or commodity sales — offtake, pricing, settlement, and payment collection (strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with assay/refining processes, shipment documentation, tax, royalty, TKDN, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder-management, and team-leadership skills.

High integrity and confidentiality in handling high-value transactions and sensitive commercial information.
