Purpose of the Role
Provide civil engineering design work from engineering feasibility study phase to the commissioning. Perform civil and structural engineering work (including earthwork construction) from feasibility studies to commissioning in accordance with company and national/international standards to support the safe, timely, and cost-effective completion of construction projects.
Accountabilities:
- Comply with and implement all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements, procedures,
- standards, and policies of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk and the Project Engineering Department in
- the project area. As well as conducting audits to improve safety standards.
- Create complete civil engineering (including those related to land construction) & structural engineering (including architecture) designs following PTVI Standard Engineering Procedures, and develop them according to agreements with project sponsors.
- Coordinate the preparation of civil & structural engineering construction drawings to ensure the comprehensive package issued is fully understood and constructible.
- Develop civil engineering specifications for equipment/material purchases, cost estimates, and create equipment and material requests for projects to obtain the best tender bids.
- Prepare Civil Engineering Work Package (EWP) documentation and commissioning procedures to ensure construction, safety, and quality standards. Conduct periodic inspections to ensure civil engineering works meet electrical EWP requirements, support project commissioning as planned, and ensure optimal quality, technical competence, and engineering design.
- Provide technical support for construction, operation, and maintenance, including troubleshooting and conducting technical reviews of designs created by other engineers.
- Maintain technical data and documents after project completion, to ensure complete records are available for later reference.
- Effectively communicate ideas, undertake initiatives to improve PTVI's civil structure infrastructure to ensure reliable and cost-efficient operation. Recommend and review improvements to PTVI's Engineering Standards and Procedures, and mentor engineering staff to improve design methods, quality, and minimize design production time.
