Job Overview

A Senior Business Development Manager will lead the commercial growth strategy for IDN's Lifestyle Media vertical within the digital media/publisher ecosystem. This role is highly strategic, responsible for driving revenue expansion, building high-value partnerships, and strengthening IDN's positioning in the lifestyle content space.

In addition to owning key enterprise accounts and strategic initiatives, this position will oversee and develop a team of Business Development professionals, ensuring strong execution, performance management, and sustainable revenue growth. The ideal candidate combines strong market insight, commercial acumen, leadership capability, and deep understanding of the digital media landscape.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth for IDN Lifestyle Media.
  2. Identify, acquire, and expand high-value partnerships across relevant lifestyle industries (e.g., beauty, fashion, FMCG, retail, travel, banking, etc.).
  3. Lead complex negotiations and structure integrated media solutions that align with client objectives and IDN's commercial strategy.
  4. Manage, mentor, and develop a Business Development team, setting clear targets, KPIs, and performance standards.
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with Editorial, Creative, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial projects.
  6. Drive strategic account planning to maximize long-term client value and retention.
  7. Monitor industry trends, audience insights, and competitor movements to inform strategic direction.
  8. Prepare revenue forecasts, pipeline reports, and business performance analysis for senior management.
  9. Represent IDN Lifestyle Media in key client meetings, industry forums, and strategic discussions.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in business development, media sales, or commercial roles within digital media, publisher, advertising, or agency environments.
  • Proven experience handling lifestyle-related brands and industries is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience managing or leading a team is required.

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

  • Strong ability to formulate and execute revenue strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large accounts and closing high-value deals.

Industry Expertise

  • Deep understanding of the digital media and publisher ecosystem, including branded content, media solutions, and integrated campaigns.

People Management

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing Business Development team.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.

Communication & Presentation

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and storytelling skills; strong English proficiency.

Analytical & Performance-Driven

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data, manage pipeline health, and drive measurable outcomes.
