Job Description for Senior Backend Engineer
As a part of the Product team, we will help our Japanese startups in eSports, AI and Blockchain. You will be assigned to the project and work as a Frontend Engineer to achieve their business goal.
Responsibilities
- Driving forward API development for our products.
- Helping to support and extend the core platform
- Implement back-end infrastructure components.
- Design new web-services
- Create unit tests and integration tests to ensure quality.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and modern encryption algorithms in general
- Proficiency in Go.
- Basic knowledge of container-based development
- Skills to find and resolve the causes of poor system performance
- Basic Security knowledge
- Familiarity with Testing/Debugging tools.
- Should be able to setup, create, and maintain unit tests and integration/functional tests.
- Fluent in English (note: pull requests are expected to be written in English)
Bonus if you have
- Experience with Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud databases such as Firestore, Cloud Datastore, Cloud Spanner, Amazon Aurora, etc.
- Experience with cloud services such as Firebase, GCP, AWS, etc.
- Contributions to or active participation in the OSS community.
- Experience in the development and operations of large scale web services
