Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer – Python with strong experience in designing and building scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing robust APIs, microservices, real-time systems, and production-grade backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement real-time communication systems using WebSockets.
• Design reliable and high-performance backend architectures.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize production systems.
• Implement monitoring and performance-tuning strategies.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.
• Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams for end-to-end product delivery.
• Contribute to system design and distributed systems initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering/backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of WebSockets and real-time backend integrations.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience building scalable and highly available backend applications.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and production-support skills.
• Good understanding of software development, testing, and engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale, high-availability backend systems.
• Experience with cloud-based backend architectures.
• Exposure to performance optimization and monitoring of production services.
