Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Java Spring Boot to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power our applications. As a senior member, you will play a key role in system design, code quality, and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop robust, secure, and scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot)
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality features
Optimize application performance, database queries, and system reliability
Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes
Maintain proper documentation of code, APIs, and system flows

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Java with at least 5 years of experience in backend development
In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem (Security, Data, MVC)
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate
Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and API versioning
Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
Strong understanding of clean architecture, design patterns, and best practices
Experience on containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack
