Senior Associate - Assurance - Accounting Advisory Service

Job Description:

• 
  Conducts research on specific accounting and auditing issues
• 
  Provides formal and informal consultation/advice on accounting and auditing matters
• 
  Performs independent review of financial statements
• 
  Develops practice aids/tools and technical publication
• 
  Prepares and delivers technical accounting presentation materials for staff and clients
• 
  Monitors the activities of the standard setters and prepares briefing material
• 
  Prepares comment letter draft to standards and value added comment articles for internal and external audiences

• 
  Bachelor degree in accounting
• 
  Minimum 3 years experience in a professional service firm.
• 
  Professional certification (CPA, CA, etc) is preferred
• 
  Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP would be an asset has experience in applying or interpreting US GAAP or IFRS, conducting accounting research, analysis and report writing
• 
  Fluency in English (writing and speaking)
• 
  Able to work independently as well as in team
• 
  Ability to learn and teach technical materials
• 
  Strong interest in conducting research, writing articles and publications
• 
  Demonstrated ability to work in a multitasked, fast-paced & changing environment
• 
  Well developed leadership, organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills
