About PLURAL CREATIVE

PLURAL CREATIVE is the in-house creative team behind a growing group of brands across hospitality, design, development, lifestyle and performance in Indonesia.

Our work includes Plural Clubhouse, our athletic performance club in Bali, alongside ARRO, ATTA Studio and a growing portfolio of hospitality and development projects.

We work across brand identity, campaigns, photography, film, social content, environments and physical experiences. We are building a small, highly capable internal creative team rather than outsourcing the identity of our brands to agencies.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Art Director with a strong visual background and proven experience leading creative work and creative teams.

This is not a project management or coordination role.

You need to have a tangible creative skill set and a portfolio that clearly demonstrates your ability in art direction, graphic design, branding and visual communication.

You will work directly with the Creative Director to translate creative direction into strong execution across our brands, while leading our content creators, designers, photographers and videographers through the day-to-day creative process.

We are looking for someone who can both lead the work and contribute to the work.

Responsibilities

• Translate creative direction into clear visual concepts and executions
• Art direct campaigns, shoots, social content and brand projects
• Lead and give strong creative feedback to designers, photographers, videographers and content creators
• Develop moodboards, references, layouts, campaign concepts and visual directions
• Maintain consistency and a high visual standard across multiple brands
• Review creative work before it reaches final approval
• Identify when work isn't strong enough and provide clear direction to improve it
• Work hands-on when necessary rather than only delegating
• Help develop the skills and creative judgment of the team
• Take ownership of projects from initial direction through final execution

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional creative experience
• Previous experience as a Senior Art Director, Art Director, Senior Designer or similar senior creative role
• Strong foundation in graphic design and visual communication
• Proven experience developing brands and campaigns
• Experience art directing photography and video
• Experience leading or mentoring a multidisciplinary creative team
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, photography, film and contemporary visual culture
• High proficiency with relevant Adobe Creative Suite tools
• Ability to clearly present and defend creative decisions
• Strong portfolio showing your actual contribution to the work
• High attention to detail and a strong personal standard for creative output

This Role Is Probably Not For You If

Your experience is primarily in project management, social media coordination or marketing without a strong visual portfolio.

We are specifically looking for someone who has developed a proven creative craft first and leadership ability on top of it.
