Role Overview
Senior Accounting Manager, leading controllership team for a key business unit of Corteva Agriscience in Indonesia. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional country and regional leadership teams as well as shared service centre teams, to ensure robust financial governance and compliance. The successful candidate will lead a team of 2-3 accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, strong financial reporting controls and continuous improvement, aligned with Corteva values.
The role will be reporting to regional controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional country and regional leadership as well as shared service centre teams to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies
- Actively participate in business reviews with cross-functional leadership
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes of multiple legal entities, ensuring compliance with Group policies and special reporting requirements
- Foster adherence to internal controls, operational risk awareness, ethical business practices
- Responsible for local statutory audit processes and local regulatory reporting to BKPM and Bank Indonesia
- Support executing strategic initiatives driven by Group and country management
- Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 accounting staff, setting clear objectives and supporting professional growth
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience in senior accounting or finance management roles, preferably within an international business environment or reputable accounting firms (e.g., Big Four)
- Demonstrable experience in collaborating across country and regional teams
- Strong leadership skills with experience of managing and developing small teams
- Fluent communication in English language
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good understanding of Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK) and US GAAP is desirable
- Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA modules like FI, CO, SD and MM, would be an advantage
