Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic textile industry team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Accounting:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to textile manufacturing, inventory, and sales.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including inventory valuation and cost accounting.

• Inventory Management:
• Oversee inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, or weighted average) and ensure accurate stock records.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses.
• Assist in physical inventory counts and reconciliation.

• Cost Accounting:
• Analyze production costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overhead expenses.
• Calculate product costs and margins.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve profitability.

• Tax Compliance:
• Prepare and file various tax returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax returns, considering specific tax implications for the textile industry.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations, including excise duty and customs duties.
• Coordinate with tax authorities and auditors.

• Internal Controls:
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records, especially in areas like inventory management and production costing.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks.

• Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the textile industry, such as production efficiency, inventory turnover, and gross margin.
• Provide insights into financial performance and identify trends.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.

• Audits:
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
• Address audit queries and recommendations, especially related to inventory valuation, production costs, and compliance with textile industry-specific regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the textile industry. concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems) and textile industry-specific software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
