We are seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen our finance & Accounting team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical accounting skills, leadership capability, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial reports in a dynamic business environment.
Role Description
Responsible for performing bookkeeping activities, recording daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, conducting &managing reconciliations, reviewing journal entries, overseeing complex accounting tasks and supporting compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Responsibilities
A. Accounting Operations
- Prepare and Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring proper documentation and accurate postings.
- Maintain and review general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform and supervise reconciliations (bank, AP/AR, intercompany, balance sheet accounts).
- Investigate discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze variances, including expenses and revenue trends.
B. Financial Reporting & Closing
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments prepared by the team.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with PSAK/IFRS.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
C. Tax Compliance & Audit Support
- Prepare or review tax calculations and supporting documents (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax).
- Coordinate with external tax consultants when necessary.
- Ensure timely and compliant tax submissions.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Address audit inquiries and follow up on audit findings.
D. Process Improvement & Team Support & Coordination
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Assist in developing or updating SOPs and internal controls.
- Understanding the appropriate financing model for the company to ensure healthy cash flow, support business growth, and minimize financial risks in the future
- Support and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, operations, and other departments on accounting-related matters.
Must Haves Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior or manager role.
- Strong knowledge of PSAK/IFRS and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (Accurate, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, modeling basics).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Tax certification (Brevet A/B or equivalent).
- Experience handling audits or coordinating cross-functional teams.
