Company Overview:
Our client is Asia's leading health, beauty, and personal care retail enterprise, operating thousands of store locations and expanding online platforms across multiple international markets. As a dominant force in the retail and FMCG sectors, they deliver market-leading personal care, wellness, and cosmetic products through seamless offline-and-online (O+O) retail experiences. They are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to supervise a team of Accounts Executives and Assistants, oversee full-spectrum financial accounting in accordance with statutory requirements, and drive accurate financial analysis to support key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of Accounts Executives and Assistants.
- Lead timely and accurate monthly financial closings and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support month-end management reporting, including financial commentary and KPI performance analysis.
- Oversee year-end closing and audit processes, prepare financial statements, and liaise closely with external auditors.
- Monitor operational cash flow effectively and prepare cash flow statements.
- Prepare prompt tax computations and GST returns, liaising with tax agents on corporate tax matters.
- Assist in periodic forecasts and annual budget preparation while delivering actionable financial insights.
- Ensure proper internal controls are established, maintained, and strictly complied with across operations.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of audit and commercial working experience within the retail or FMCG industry.
- Practical experience working in an ERP / Oracle integrated system environment.
- Proven supervisory skills with the ability to manage a large team under tight deadlines.
- Excellent spreadsheet proficiency and MS Office skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and decision-making skills.
- Possess good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous with an eye for detail, digitally inclined, and able to multitask under pressure.
- Must be a Batam resident or willing to relocate to Batam.
