Senior ABOR Consultant / Stream Lead

About The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior ABOR Consultant / Stream Lead to support multiple client engagements across the APAC region.

This role combines strong technical and functional ABOR / Investment Accounting expertise with stakeholder management and client-facing leadership.

The consultant will work directly with clients to understand and challenge accounting and business requirements, provide senior-level advisory support, prepare effort estimates, and help define appropriate solution approaches.

This is not a purely technical or accounting role. The successful consultant must combine deep ABOR and investment accounting expertise with excellent communication and the ability to confidently manage senior client stakeholders.

Communication will be a critical success factor. The consultant should be able to clearly explain complex accounting and system-related topics, manage expectations, facilitate discussions, and act as a trusted advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Support multiple APAC client engagements related to ABOR / Accounting Book of Record
• Provide senior-level ABOR and Investment Accounting expertise
• Work directly with clients and independently lead client-facing discussions
• Lead workshops, meetings, and requirement clarification sessions
• Analyse accounting, business, and functional requirements
• Translate client requirements into appropriate functional and solution approaches
• Prepare effort estimates, project assessments, and solution scoping
• Identify key assumptions, dependencies, risks, and delivery considerations
• Communicate proposed approaches and recommendations clearly to client stakeholders
• Manage client expectations and build strong stakeholder relationships
• Act as the bridge between business/accounting stakeholders and technical/functional teams
• Support planning and prioritisation of client initiatives
• Collaborate with internal technical and functional teams where required
• Act as a senior SME for ABOR and investment accounting topics
  
  

Key Requirements

• Strong senior-level experience within ABOR / Accounting Book of Record
• Strong understanding of investment accounting and asset management operations
• Previous experience as a Senior Consultant, Stream Lead, Functional Lead, or Solution Lead
• Proven experience working directly with external clients
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to independently lead client meetings, workshops, and functional discussions
• Ability to explain complex accounting and system-related topics to both business and technical audiences
• Strong experience with solution scoping, estimation, and effort assessment
• Confidence in challenging and clarifying client requirements
• Strong analytical and advisory capabilities
• SimCorp Dimension experience is highly preferred and usually expected
• Direct SimCorp Dimension experience is a strong advantage
• Candidates without SimCorp Dimension may still be considered if they have very strong ABOR / Investment Accounting expertise, client-facing leadership, and estimation/scoping experience
• Ability to support multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Availability to consistently cover APAC business hours
