Security Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Engineer position based in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. The Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, networks, and infrastructure, with a strong focus on SIEM deployment, tuning, and monitoring. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing security events, investigating incidents, developing use cases and correlation rules, and optimizing alerting to reduce false positives. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to assess security requirements, support compliance initiatives, document security architectures, and contribute to continuous improvement of information security processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and security best practices.
• Candidates should possess skills in Security Engineering, such as designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions, including SIEM platforms and related security tools.
• Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding principles, vulnerability assessment, and remediation of application security issues.
• Relevant experience with SIEM technologies (e.g., rule creation, log management, incident workflows) and security monitoring in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate security alerts and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., Elastic Certified Engineer, CompTIA Security+, CSSP, CySA) are an advantage.
