About the Role
Ensuring that all port facilities, infrastructure, and equipment are safe, reliable, and operational through the planning, execution, and control of effective and efficient maintenance activities, thereby supporting smooth port operations, the achievement of corporate performance targets, compliance with workplace safety standards.
As a part of Port Barging & Transshipment (PT Baruna Dirga Dharma | PT Dianta Daya Embara | PT Pelabuhan Buana Reja) and subsidiaries of PT. ABM Investama Tbk. The incumbent will be assigned to PT Pelabuhan Buana Reja the mining logistics ecosystem sector, focusing on professional, safe, and efficient port service solutions, particularly for the handling of bulk commodities and energy product.
We are looking Section HeadPort Maintenance. Job Responsibilities as follow:
Operational Reliability
- Ensure all port equipment and facilities are maintained in ready and available condition to support safe and efficient loading and unloading operations.
- Manage and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for conveyor systems, crushers, fixed plant, mobile plant and other supporting equipment.
- Minimize equipment downtime through effective maintenance planning, monitoring, and execution.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns and operational failures to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Monitor equipment condition, operational performance, and maintenance effectiveness to ensure optimal operational productivity.
- Maintain a strong understanding of crusher and conveyor operational systems to support continuous and reliable operations.
Maintenance Planning & Control
- Prepare and control daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules based on operational requirements and vessel/loading schedules.
- Assign and supervise daily maintenance activities, inspections, and repair work for crusher, conveyor, and supporting systems.
- Ensure shutdown maintenance activities are properly planned and executed without disrupting operational windows.
- Manage critical spare parts inventory and ensure availability of maintenance materials, tools, and components.
- Ensure all maintenance activities, inspections, breakdown history, and repair records are properly documented through maintenance reports and equipment history systems.
- Ensure inspection and checklist activities are consistently implemented for BLC systems, crushers, conveyors, and related equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, work instructions, and technical guidelines related to maintenance activities.
- Identify equipment abnormalities, operational risks, and potential hazards, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Supervise fabrication, repair, and modification activities in workshop and field areas as required by operational needs.
- Coordinate with Port Operations teams to support equipment improvement, reliability enhancement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company SOPs, permit-to-work systems, HSE regulations, and port operational standards.
- Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with company safety requirements, quality standards, and work performance expectations.
- Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, organized, and operationally ready after maintenance activities are completed.
- Promote strong safety awareness and safe working behaviour within the maintenance team and contractor personnel.
Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and develop the maintenance team to maintain strong discipline, technical competency, productivity, and fast response times.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to technicians related to troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Coordinate actively with Operations, Procurement, and HSE departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted port operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and cost efficiency.
Job Requirements as follows :
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline from reputable university.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in port operations and maintenance within a Port Business Entity (BUP), bulk terminal, mining port, or similar industry.
- Proven experience in maintenance of crusher and conveyor systems is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Familiar with conveyor systems, belt alignment, pulley systems, gearbox, motors, bearings, and material handling equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in handling equipment breakdown and operational issues.
- Good understanding of HSE standards, permit-to-work systems, and safe maintenance practices in port operations.
- Experience in maintenance planning, shutdown coordination, and spare part management.
- Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Able to work under pressure and respond effectively to operational emergencies and breakdown situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting systems.
- Willing to be based at operational/site areas in Sebamban, South Kalimantan with roster 6:2 schedule.
