We are seeking a passionate and innovative Secondary Science Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will inspire young learners through hands-on experiments, inquiry-based activities, and engaging lessons that encourage curiosity about the natural world. This role involves teaching science across primary grade levels and helping students develop critical thinking and scientific literacy. This position concepts, encouraging inquiry-based learning, and helping them make meaningful connections between science and everyday life.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the schools curriculum and educational goals.
- Foster curiosity and a love of learning through hands-on experiments, investigations, and real-world applications.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Promote inquiry-based learning and guide students in developing observation, questioning, and problem-solving skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore and ask questions.
- Integrate cross-curricular links with other subjects such as math, literacy, and environmental studies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to support student learning and development.
- Participate actively in school events, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning.
- Encourage respect for the environment and responsible scientific thinking in everyday life.
Qualifications
- A graduate from a reputable university with a minimum Bachelor Degree in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry or a Bachelor Degree in Education major in Science.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in teaching Combined Science to students in the Junior Secondary preferably in an International School setting, or in a school where English is the mode of instruction.
- Knowledge and experience in handling laboratory experiments and scientific investigations.
- Good English Communication skills and writing skills.
- Familiarization with the Australian Curriculum or IB is an advantage

- Possesses strong classroom management skills with a high degree of responsibility towards teaching as well as students&apos academic progress.
- Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural educational environment.
- Familiar with the inquiry-based teaching and learning process and capable of using various teaching strategies and approaches.
- Proficient in using Microsoft products, applications and services and is able to use technology efficiently for educational purposes.
