We are seeking an exceptional School Principal to lead both Primary and Secondary divisions, providing visionary leadership, academic excellence, and operational strength.
Position Overview
The School Principal is the academic and operational leader of the Primary and Secondary sections, responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, strong student outcomes, staff development, and alignment with the school's vision and values.
This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader with strong experience in international education, curriculum leadership, and people management.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Lead and oversee the implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum across Primary and Secondary.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in student achievement and learning outcomes.
- Oversee curriculum planning, lesson quality, and assessment alignment.
- Support integration of educational technology aligned with Apple Distinguished School practices.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate Heads of Department, Coordinators, and teaching staff.
- Foster a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and accountability.
- Recruit, induct, and retain high-quality local and international teachers.
- Conduct performance appraisals and support professional development.
School Operations & Management
- Work closely with the Superintendent and central management team.
- Ensure effective day-to-day school operations and compliance with policies.
- Manage academic calendars, timetables, examinations, and reporting cycles.
- Ensure safeguarding, student wellbeing, and a positive school culture.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider school community.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic programs and student progress.
- Represent the school professionally at internal and external events.
- Support school marketing, admissions, and growth initiatives when required.
Strategic Development
- Contribute to short- and long-term school development planning.
- Support accreditation processes, quality assurance, and school reviews.
- Champion innovation, digital learning, and future-ready education.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in international schools.
- Proven experience as Principal, Vice Principal, or Senior Academic Leader.
- Strong understanding of the Cambridge Curriculum (Primary & Secondary).
- Demonstrated leadership in teaching and learning excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading both Primary and Secondary levels.
- Experience in Apple Distinguished Schools or strong EdTech integration.
- Experience working in multicultural and international school environments.
- Knowledge of accreditation frameworks and school improvement processes.
- Experience in Indonesia or Southeast Asia is an advantage.
