We are seeking a visionary SAP Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise-wide SAP landscape. You will be responsible for defining the big picture architecture, ensuring technical integrity, and aligning SAP capabilities with our strategic business goals. The ideal candidate thrives on complexity and can translate technical jargon into business value.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Design & Governance
- Blueprint Leadership: Lead the end-to-end architectural design for SAP implementations (S/4HANA, Rise, or legacy migrations).
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of SAP with non-SAP systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process continuity.
- Standards & Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards, ensuring Clean Core principles are followed to minimize custom code debt.
2. Technical Advisory
- Solution Evaluation: Analyze business requirements and determine the best SAP solution (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, PP) or BTP (Business Technology Platform) extension to meet them.
- Roadmapping: Develop long-term technology roadmaps, including upgrades, cloud migrations, and the adoption of emerging tech like AI/ML within SAP.
- Risk Management: Identify technical risks or gaps in the proposed architecture and develop mitigation strategies.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, functional consultants, and the development team.
- Vendor Management: Interface with SAP and third-party vendors to evaluate software products and service levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Excellence
- S/4HANA Mastery: Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and the SAP Activate methodology.
- Integration Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP BTP, CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), or PI/PO.
- Technical Breadth: Familiarity with ABAP (enough to know what's possible), Fiori, and SAP HANA database management.
Soft Skills
- Problem Solving: An almost Sherlock-like ability to deduce why a complex integration is failing.
- Communication: Ability to explain O(n) complexity to a developer and Return on Investment to a CFO in the same afternoon.
- Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global delivery model.
Experience/Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of SAP experience
- SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Associate - Solution Architect) are highly preferred.
