PERSOL Indonesia is currently assisting one of our clients from Multinational Freight Forwarding company finding great talent as for Surabaya placement with the detail as follows:
- Conduct client visits across Indonesia (business trips required; company car provided)
- Handle sales activities with an approximate ratio of 70% new business and 30% existing clients, mainly targeting Japanese companies operating in Indonesia.
- Perform detailed client hearings to identify and analyze import/export logistics needs, including trade routes and shipping requirements.
- Prepare and propose quotations related to international freight, customs clearance, documentation, and inland transportation, based on client requirements.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (operations, documentation, customs, finance) and external stakeholders (shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers).
- Balance client requirements with operational feasibility and cost efficiency, requiring strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- This is not aggressive hunter-style sales; the role focuses on a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach in import/export logistics.
Requirements:
- 4–5 years of experience in freight forwarding sales
- Experience in both Air Freight and Ocean Freight (Strong in Ocean would be advantage)
- Strong in International (Export-Import) business rather than the domestic market
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Valid driver's license SIMA
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and proactively drive business.
