Job Description

We are seeking a talented and driven Sales Manager to lead our team in one of our Portfolio companies, based out of Indonesia. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth in the Indonesian market. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a proven sales track record, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales channels across modern trade, general trade, distributors, wholesalers, online resellers, HORECA, and B2B institutional customers.
  • Identify and qualify new leads for plastic product solutions.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with potential and existing customers.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations, highlighting product features and benefits relevant to customer needs.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring profitable contracts.
  • Initially operate as a hands-on individual contributor, while building the sales playbook, customer pipeline, and commercial routines. As revenue scales, the Sales Manager will help recruit, train, and manage additional sales representatives.
  • Track sales performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new plastic product innovations.
  • Prepare insightful reports on sales activities and market conditions.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management. Experience in plastic products, packaging, household goods, FMCG, general merchandise, B2B wholesale, or retail distribution is preferred.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the plastic products industry and its applications across diverse sectors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Adapt at negotiation and closing deals, demonstrating strong problem-solving and persuasion skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Working proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia & English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales tools.
  • Comfortable and able to adapt in dynamic environments.
