We are looking for a Sales Manager Chemical to drive business growth and strengthen our presence within Indonesia's chemical industry. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with commercial drive to identify new opportunities, develop customer relationships, and deliver solutions that address our customers operational challenges. Working closely with our industry manager, regional sales teams, and leading the assigned sales team member, you will help customers unlock the full value of Endress+Hauser's measurement and automation solutions while contributing to the sustainable growth of our business.

As a Sales Manager Chemical, you will play a key role in expanding our business with chemical customers across Indonesia. You will proactively identify and develop new opportunities, manage and grow customer relationships, and support customers in improving their processes through our solutions. Leveraging your technical understanding and commercial mindset, you will engage with engineers and business decision-makers to develop solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, safety, and sustainability.
Which tasks will you perform
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth and increase Endress+Hauser's market share within Indonesia's chemical industry with a focus on Banten & West Java Area
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities by actively engaging customers, consultants, contractors, EPCs, and key decision-makers across the chemical sector
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding operational challenges and recommending measurement and automation solutions that create measurable value
- Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification and technical discussions to proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract closure
- Collaborate closely with regional sales teams across Indonesia to develop account strategies, identify growth opportunities, support customer engagements, and drive project acquisition activities
- Work closely with the Industry Manager to translate market opportunities, industry trends, and strategic initiatives into successful customer projects and business growth, while aligning team activities and customer engagement strategies to support effective execution
- Promote Endress+Hauser's instrumentation, digital solutions, and process automation portfolio by providing technical consultation and application support throughout the sales process
- Work with technical specialists, production centers, and internal stakeholders to develop customer-focused solutions that address process efficiency, reliability, safety, and sustainability challenges
- Contribute to sales forecasting, account planning, and business development activities to ensure achievement of sales targets and sustainable growth
- Represent Endress+Hauser at customer events, industry forums, seminars, and networking activities to strengthen relationships and increase market visibility
- Lead and develop the assigned sales team member through coaching, joint customer engagement, and structured development planning
- Build team capability in opportunity management, account planning, and solution selling to accelerate sustainable business growth
What do we expect from you
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Several years of experience in technical sales, business development, account management, or application engineering within instrumentation, process automation, or the chemical industry
- Solid understanding of process instrumentation and automation solutions, with the ability to discuss technical applications and customer challenges confidently
- Experience working with customers in the chemical, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, industrial gases, or related process industries
- Proven track record of identifying new opportunities, developing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets
- Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to understand customer processes and translate technical solutions into business value
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused mindset, with a strong drive to create sustainable business growth
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix and international environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members, either through direct people management or project leadership experience
- Very good command of English
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
