POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Manager will be the unifying force behind A&K Indonesia's sales and clients relationships, covering Indonesia as well as Malaysia destinations. This is an important and strategic role within the company, and our expectations are equally high. A key focus will be the ability to coordinate the sales efforts and generate top-line revenue. Equally important, providing feedback to the other departments on the markets to help improving our level of service. We are aiming at being the most creative provider of services in the market. Roll-up-your-sleeves entrepreneurial, start- up attitude is a must!
JOB DESCRIPTION (including but not limited to)
- Take a leadership role in training and development of the Sales department.
- Create and sustain a highly motivated Sales team, creating a culture of engagement and openness.
- Develop procedures to help the Sales process.
- Improve the follow-ups and quality of replies for a higher conversion rate.
- Assign & monitor all incoming requests to Tour Consultants. Ensure that the tasks allocation is done in a fair and effective way.
- Check proposals / correspondences before they are sent out. Ensure response time within 24 hours.
- Work directly with agents/customers on any VIPs, series bookings and special requests.
- Undertake regular follow ups with agents ensuring that quotes submitted are in line with their expectations and assessing if any further assistance is required in securing the booking
- Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring and controlling costs to match the market requirements and improve competitiveness.
- Take responsibility of the Forward Booking Report, Sales & Costs (margins) Report, Quote & Conversion Report, Sales by Source Markets Report, New / Lost Business Tracking Report.
- Support the Director of Sales and Assistant Director of sales in determining annual targets and gross profits (margins) to help implementing the Sales strategies.
- Review / evaluate end-of-month reports.
- Contribute to the annual setting of sales budget and departmental costs budget assisting the General Manager and Accounting Manager
- Provide frequent feedbacks on the markets to help the Product/Contracting depts. In researching, developing and improving products and services offered.
- Coordinate payments from clients with accounting department according to the company's Terms and Conditions.
- Ensure invoices from suppliers are checked and approve them before passing on to accounting department.
- Report and assist in resolving customer service issues
- Join fam trips and product inspections as per company needs
- Attend suppliers events and partners meetings
PROFILE
- Passionate about travel
- Any citizenship
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (+Spanish or French a plus)
- Minimum 8 years experience with Inbound Tour Operator in Indonesia (+Luxury a plus, +Malaysia a plus)
- Existing client portfolio, particularly in the US market
- Positive attitude, motivated, well organized, ambitious
- Excellent destination knowledge of Indonesia and Malaysia
- Strong relationships builder
- Ability to work under pressure
