Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Sales Engineer will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and promote hydraulic and motion control solutions to industrial customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting customer visits, assessing technical requirements, preparing proposals and quotations, and delivering product presentations and demonstrations. The role also involves coordinating with engineering and technical teams to design suitable solutions, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, and handling inquiries and follow-ups. The Sales Engineer will maintain accurate sales forecasts, prepare regular activity reports, and contribute feedback to improve products, services, and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills to understand customer needs and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Technical Support and Customer Service skills to assist clients with product selection, troubleshooting, and after-sales follow-up.
- Effective Communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Background or strong interest in hydraulics, industrial automation, or related engineering fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage multiple accounts, and meet sales targets.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools; willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia; working proficiency in English is an advantage.
