Sales Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Surabaya. The Sales Engineer will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and promote AMS products and solutions to industrial clients. Daily activities include conducting customer visits, preparing and delivering technical and commercial proposals, and providing product demonstrations and technical explanations tailored to customer requirements. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery, and after-sales support. The Sales Engineer will maintain detailed records of sales activities, prepare regular reports, and contribute feedback to improve product offerings and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong Sales Engineering skills, with the ability to translate technical specifications into clear value propositions.
• Proficiency in Sales activities, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals in industrial markets.
• Experience providing Technical Support for welding consumables, abrasives, and related industrial equipment.
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, handle inquiries, and resolve issues effectively.
• Background in engineering or a related technical field; a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering is preferred.
• Understanding of industrial supply chains, fabrication processes, and maintenance operations is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel to customer sites within Surabaya and surrounding areas.
• Basic proficiency in standard office and CRM software; willingness to learn new tools and systems.
