Overview:
Waters, the world's leading specialty measurement company that cares about inclusion and diversity is seeking for a Sales Development Specialist to support the continued growth of our Food and Environmental businesses across Indonesia. Waters deliver benefits through innovation and people that enable customer success in the life, materials and food sciences.
As a Sales Development Specialist, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of analytical workflows, regulatory‑driven testing, and real sample challenges faced by laboratories. You will translate this understanding into application‑driven solutions, positioning Waters not only as an instrument supplier, but as a long‑term solution partner enabling customer success.
This position offers significant flexibility with extensive field engagement and close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Service teams.
Responsibilities:
Sales Development & Customer Engagement
- Support sales activities through customer co‑visits, opportunity qualifications, solution positioning, and technical presentations, working closely with the Sales team to achieve and exceed business goals.
- Engage customers at an application and workflow level, helping to address matrix complexity, method robustness, and regulatory expectations rather than competing on price alone.
- Support both competitive replacement opportunities and growth of new LC‑MS/MS adoption in developing accounts.
Marketing & Business Enablement
- Support and promote LC‑MS/MS applications across food, feed mill, agrochemical, fisheries, agriculture, and environmental testing, engaging customers on multi‑residue and trace‑level workflows.
- Drive market expansion by helping laboratories transition from conventional techniques to LC‑MS/MS‑based solutions, demonstrating Waters value through performance, robustness, workflow efficiency, and long‑term usability.
- Enable market execution by integrating marketing and sales tools, supporting seminars, workshops, and customer events, and training Sales teams on technology fundamentals, application trends, and competitive differentiation.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Service, and distributor partners to develop pipeline, forecast opportunities, and collect local business intelligence.
- Support structured account planning and follow‑up of key accounts, users, and prospects.
- Participate in additional Sales Development–related projects and activities as assigned by management.
