Role

To influence developers, architects, and designers to specify LIXIL products (INAX, TOSTEM, GROHE, American Standard) into building designs — increasing the likelihood LIXIL products are purchased during construction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Strategic Specification Leadership & Planning
• Develop and execute strategic specification plans to position LIXIL products in key commercial and residential projects across target markets.
• Identify and capitalize on business development opportunities to increase brand penetration in high-value developer and architectural firm pipelines.
• Team Management & Mentorship
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the specifier team to drive high performance and continuous professional growth.
• Establish team KPIs, streamline operational workflows, and support team members in resolving complex technical or commercial challenges.
• High-Level Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major developer accounts, key architects, design consultants, and engineering leaders.
• Represent the organization at industry forums, executive seminars, and strategic design panels to reinforce brand leadership.
• Pipeline & Project Portfolio Oversight
• Oversee the end-to-end specification lifecycle, ensuring retention of LIXIL specifications from design through tender and construction phases.
• Monitor project win rates and specification retention metrics to optimize overall business development outcomes.
• Cross-Functional Alignment & Strategy Integration
• Partner closely with senior leadership across Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to align specification efforts with revenue goals.
• Facilitate seamless handovers between the specification team and project sales teams during procurement phases.
• Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning
• Analyze market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor activities to guide product positioning and new offerings.
• Drive strategic initiatives to identify emerging sector opportunities and establish long-term industry alliances.
• Performance Management & Reporting
• Provide executive updates and strategic reports to senior management on:
• Pipeline conversion and total specified value
• Key stakeholder relationship progress and account penetration
• Team productivity, training, and strategic achievements
• Risk mitigation for key projects
• HSE & Code of Conduct Oversight
  
  

Ensure team adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and LIXIL Code of Conduct (COC) regulations across all activities.

Job Specification

Education, Training, Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum 3 years of specifier exposure, preferably within building materials, technical roles, or the construction industry, with good knowledge of business management.
• Mature leadership and personality combined with good business sense and people-management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proven track record in developing and executing a successful business development strategy.
• Wide-ranging network in the project market (developers, architects, contractors, interior designers).
