What You'll Do

Safety Inspection & Compliance

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and site walkthroughs to ensure compliance with SMK3 and applicable regulations.
  • Identify unsafe acts and conditions, and take immediate action to prevent potential incidents.
  • Ensure the proper and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all operational areas.
  • Monitor safety signage, emergency exits, and pedestrian pathways to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Risk Assessment & Work Permit Management

  • Support supervisors in preparing and reviewing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and HIRADC documentation.
  • Review and issue Permits to Work (PTW) for high-risk activities, including hot work, confined space entry, working at heights, and critical lifting operations.
  • Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety requirements and procedures.

Safety Training & Culture Development

  • Deliver safety inductions and orientation programs for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Facilitate Toolbox Talks, safety briefings, and awareness programs to reinforce a proactive safety mindset.
  • Promote Behavioral-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives and encourage active employee participation in maintaining a safe workplace.

Incident Investigation & Reporting

  • Respond promptly to workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and maintain safety performance data, including accident-free man-hours, near-miss records, and other HSE metrics.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Valid Ahli K3 Umum certification (or equivalent occupational safety certification) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably within manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, or other industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety compliance practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Strong report-writing skills and the ability to prepare clear and accurate safety documentation in English.
  • Able to stay calm, decisive, and organized when handling emergencies or high-pressure situations.
