SAC Backend Engineer

Job Description

• Design and develop efficient, reusable CDS Views to support analytics and reporting capabilities
• Build and maintain data models in SAP BW S/4HANA for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Group Reporting, including calculations, hierarchies, and measures
• Apply best practices in data modelling, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Ensure consistency and integrity of business logic across SAC models and reporting layers
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and data analysts to ensure seamless integration between SAP data sources and SAC analytics solutions
• Support data integration and transformation processes required for SAC analytics and planning use cases

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing SAP BI/BW, SAC, or related SAP analytics solutions
• Proven expertise in CDS Views development and SAP data modelling techniques.
• Experience working with the SAP ecosystem, including S/4HANA, SAP BW, or SAP data structures
• Strong understanding of SAP BW, SAC, and CDS Views architecture.
• Experience with SAC for Planning, including data integration, planning models, stories, and reports
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data and system issues
• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with financial analysis concepts is a plus
• SAC / SAP BW certification is an advantage
