Retail Operations Executive (Merchandiser Operations)

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of sales promoters/merchandisers (PSV) across assigned areas
  • Ensure in-store execution aligns with company standards (planogram, visibility, display, stock availability)
  • Monitor merchandiser attendance, performance, and productivity
  • Coordinate deployment, scheduling, and coverage of merchandisers in all outlets
  • Conduct regular store visits to audit execution and provide on-ground coaching
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and promotions
  • Track and analyze retail performance data (sell-out, stock level, display compliance)
  • Handle operational issues in stores and provide quick problem-solving
  • Maintain strong relationships with store management and distributors
  • Prepare regular reports on field activities, issues, and performance insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Retail Operations / Merchandising / Field Sales (preferably in FMCG industry)
  • Proven experience managing merchandisers or sales promoters
  • Strong understanding of in-store execution, planogram, and retail operations
  • Good analytical skills and ability to interpret sales/data reports
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Willing to travel frequently and do field visits
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
