Retail Operations Executive (Merchandiser Operations)
Job Description
- Manage and oversee daily operations of sales promoters/merchandisers (PSV) across assigned areas
- Ensure in-store execution aligns with company standards (planogram, visibility, display, stock availability)
- Monitor merchandiser attendance, performance, and productivity
- Coordinate deployment, scheduling, and coverage of merchandisers in all outlets
- Conduct regular store visits to audit execution and provide on-ground coaching
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and promotions
- Track and analyze retail performance data (sell-out, stock level, display compliance)
- Handle operational issues in stores and provide quick problem-solving
- Maintain strong relationships with store management and distributors
- Prepare regular reports on field activities, issues, and performance insights
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Retail Operations / Merchandising / Field Sales (preferably in FMCG industry)
- Proven experience managing merchandisers or sales promoters
- Strong understanding of in-store execution, planogram, and retail operations
- Good analytical skills and ability to interpret sales/data reports
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Willing to travel frequently and do field visits
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Able to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
