Role Description This is a part-time, hybrid role based in Makassar, Indonesia, with a mix of on-site client visits and work from home. The Retail & Hospitality Food Safety Auditor will conduct food safety audits at retail and hospitality sites, evaluating compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements. Responsibilities include planning and performing audits, documenting findings, preparing clear and accurate audit reports, and recommending corrective actions. The auditor will liaise with client representatives, explain audit outcomes, and provide guidance on best practices in food safety and hygiene. The role may also involve contributing to training, calibration sessions, and continuous improvement of audit processes.
What You Will Do
• Conduct food safety, brand standards, and workplace health & safety evaluations at client sites
• Consult, coach, and train clients on the latest food safety, health, and hygiene practices
• Work with account management teams to resolve client challenges
• Perform a budgeted number of audits weekly to ensure high customer satisfaction
• Access and apply industry-leading food safety practices and current health inspection insights
• Provide accurate reports and ensure effective communication with clients
Minimum Qualifications
• Food Safety qualification: HACCP, ISO22000, BRC, or NEHA (RS, REHS, or CP-FS) credentials
• Experience in the food service or hygiene industry
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs
• A valid driver's license
• No immigration sponsorship available
Skills and Knowledge
• Preferred certifications: HACCP, ISO22000, BRC, or NEHA (RS, REHS, or CP-FS) credentials
• Experience in retail food safety and brand standards reviews (>5 years)
• Teaching or coaching experience in a food-related field
• Strong relationship management and consulting skills
• Excellent planning, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
