As a resource geologist, you will be responsible for the assessment and management of the site's mineral resources. You will leverage your expertise to conduct geological studies, analyze data, and provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of mining assets.
Main Responsibilities
- Assessment of Mineral Resources: Conduct detailed geological studies and resource assessments to identify and quantify gold reserves ;
- Geological Data Analysis: Interpret geological and geophysical data to support exploration and mining projects ;
- Geological Modeling: Develop and maintain accurate 3D geological models for mineral resources using specialized software ;
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare technical reports and presentations on the results of geological studies and associated recommendations ;
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with exploration, engineering, and production teams to ensure an integrated approach to resource management ;
- Technology Monitoring: Keep up with advancements in mining geology and exploration technologies to integrate best practices into our operations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, Leapfrog).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards regarding mineral resource reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in geology, geosciences, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in gold resource assessment.
