BakingWorld is looking for a R&D (research and development) manager with experience working in food manufacture (or bakery/pastry manufacture)
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in Research and Development role in food manufacture industry
- Specific experience in food and bakery manufacture is required
- Independent and able to work with minimal supervision
- Good team player, proactive, able to work under pressure and tight deadline
Typical Activities:
- Creating and developing new food consumer products to meet consumer needs
- Lead and manage R&D team to achieve desired goals
- Contributing towards the planning, execution and monitoring of testing a product
- Redesigning and refining existing products
- Conduct research, testing, and product launch
- Formulate specifications for raw materials, processes, costs and product development time periods
- Meeting with other departments to discuss product concepts
- Carrying out market research to analyse similar products and their functions
- Understanding the marketing requirements for a product
- Testing prototypes for functionality and longevity
- Creating engineering plans for new products
