About the Job:
Remedial will undertake the Bank's efforts in managing and recovering non-performing loans, thereby minimizing losses and improving the quality of our loan portfolio. This role requires a strong background in credit risk management, loan recovery, and debt restructuring. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in negotiating and implementing resolution solutions for complex non-performing loan situations, as well as in leading teams in a high-risk environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the management of non-performing loan (NPL) and non-performing asset recovery.
- Negotiate, structure, and implement resolution arrangements with borrowers experiencing financial distress.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and other advisors to manage the recovery process for secured and unsecured loans.
- Perform recovery management portfolio reporting, providing regular updates to direct supervisor.
- Develop policies and procedures for the identification, management, and resolution of non-performing assets.
- Manage relationships with external parties, including legal counsel, auction houses, and asset management companies.
- Enforce billing and collection deadlines.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Attend training on legislative procedures related to debt collection management.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in loan recovery, or distressed asset management.
- Proven track record in negotiating and implementing successful resolution solutions for distressed loans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detailed understanding of financial statements and credit analysis.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, able to work with borrowers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of the legal processes associated with loan recovery, including bankruptcy and foreclosure.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in loan recovery and recovery management.
