Role Description The Relationship Manager SME Riau Area is a full-time, on-site role based in Pekanbaru. This role is responsible for acquiring, developing, and maintaining relationships with SME clients in the Riau area, with a focus on loan and deposit products. The Relationship Manager will identify business opportunities, assess client financing needs, prepare credit proposals, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate credit processing. The role includes conducting regular client visits, monitoring portfolio performance, and proactively managing risk and asset quality. The Relationship Manager will also support sales targets, contribute to local market outreach, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in SME banking, relationship management, or corporate/commercial lending, preferably within the Indonesian banking sector.
  • Strong skills in client prospecting, needs analysis, and account management, with the ability to build long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Solid understanding of credit analysis, financial statement review, and risk assessment for SME lending.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus aligned with the bank's Fast, Safe, Caring values.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, manage time effectively, and meet sales and portfolio quality targets.
  • Good knowledge of the local business environment in Riau/Pekanbaru and willingness to conduct regular field and client visits.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; relevant banking certifications are a plus.
