Responsible for managing and expanding relationships with Chinese-speaking clients within the bank's portfolio. The role focuses on business acquisition, portfolio growth, and delivering tailored financial solutions, while ensuring excellent service delivery and alignment with overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Identify and develop business opportunities within the Chinese-speaking customer segment.
- Build market insights related to Chinese business communities, industry trends, and cross-border opportunities.
- Develop relationship strategies to expand portfolio and increase wallet share.
Business Development & Portfolio Management
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Chinese-speaking clients by providing comprehensive banking solutions.
- Acquire new-to-bank customers and achieve sales targets across relevant products.
- Conduct regular client engagement to understand business needs and deliver tailored financial solutions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, including profitability, asset quality, and utilization.
- Ensure proper onboarding, documentation, and maintenance of client accounts.
Client Relationship & Service Management
- Act as the main point of contact for Chinese-speaking clients, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Build strong and long-term relationships through proactive engagement and advisory.
- Handle client inquiries, issues, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated and effective solutions.
- Prepare and present business proposals, credit applications, and relationship reviews.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline, portfolio performance, and business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Relationship Management or client-facing role in banking/financial services
- Fluent in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is a must
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse clients
- Good understanding of banking products and financial solutions
- Strong sales orientation and ability to achieve business targets
- Good analytical skills in assessing client needs and portfolio performance
- High level of integrity and adherence to compliance standards
