Job Description

Role Overview:

One of our clients in the retail industry is hiring a Regional Retail Manager to lead and transform store operations across a department store network.

This is a high-impact, commercial leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in driving traffic, boosting sales performance, and unlocking new revenue opportunities across multiple stores.

This role goes beyond maintaining SOPs. You will have the autonomy to design new operating models, build performance tools, and pilot innovative retail initiatives that directly impact sales, productivity, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute regional and localized strategies to drive store traffic, improve conversion, and increase overall sales performance
  • Identify, pilot, and scale new revenue streams such as in-store events, services, and partnerships to deliver commercial uplift
  • Design and implement operational tools, dashboards, and performance routines to track KPIs including space productivity, staffing efficiency, resource utilization, and P&L levers
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by clearly articulating action plans, executing them across stores, monitoring outcomes, and applying corrective actions
  • Drive strong sales execution by promoting active selling culture, coaching store teams, and ensuring consistent implementation of commercial campaigns, pricing, service standards, and inventory flow
  • Monitor and analyze store performance metrics (sales, traffic, UPT, ATV, conversion) and provide actionable guidance to Store Managers
  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and regional retail teams, building a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent while fostering resilience, ownership, and commercial mindset across teams
  • Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation align with brand standards and regional customer preferences to maximize product visibility and engagement
  • Act on customer feedback and market insights to continuously elevate the in-store shopping experience
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with head office teams to roll out scalable operational and commercial improvements across the region

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in multi-store retail operations, regional or area management
  • Strong experience instrategic retail operations, handling stores with average store size of 5001000 m
  • Solid background in visual merchandising, space planning, and store presentation strategy
  • Proven commercial sales leadership with hands-on experience driving traffic, conversion, and revenue growth
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively launch and execute local initiatives to improve store performance
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience building KPIs, dashboards, and operational performance tools
  • Proven leadership experience in developing and empowering high-performing retail teams
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for retail transformation
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region
