Job Description
Role Description The Recovery Gym General Manager at Urban Athletes Indonesia oversees daily operations of the recovery-focused fitness facility, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for members and staff. This full-time, on-site role is based in Uluwatu Bali and includes managing staff schedules, supervising front desk and recovery service teams, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The General Manager is responsible for facility upkeep, equipment readiness, coordination of recovery programs and classes, and adherence to health and safety protocols. The role also involves managing membership processes, handling member feedback, monitoring budget and revenue targets, and supporting local marketing initiatives to grow the community. The General Manager collaborates with leadership to implement operational improvements and reports on performance metrics and member satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in fitness, wellness, or recovery-focused facility management, with strong operational and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team, including scheduling, performance management, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to build relationships, handle concerns professionally, and support member retention.
- Basic understanding of recovery modalities and wellness practices and willingness to learn more.
- Comfort with administrative tasks, including budgeting, reporting, membership systems, and coordination with vendors or service providers.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work on-site in Uluwatu Bali, including flexibility for occasional evening or weekend shifts based on operational needs.
- Previous experience in hospitality, sports, fitness, or health-related environments is a must.
- Relevant education in sports science, business, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
