We are looking for an R&D Manager - Regulatory & System to manage our regulatory and halal compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
Regulatory and Halal Compliance Management
- Management of Regulatory Compliance, drive regulatory processes (product registration, product compliance, and labelling), ensure product compliance to regulations of Indonesia as a main country, including Thailand & Philippines market and other potential new markets, Co-manufacturing customers, intercompany and import business. Includes as well drive for label harmonisation and support product information (PIR) to export markets or where required to assist in product registrations and label creations
- Maintain successful Halal Assurance System (HAS) of Arnotts Bekasi plant onsite and responsible as coordinator of Halal internal auditor (KAHI)
Management of Change in Regulatory and System
- Communicates proactively to management and stakeholder any potential change on Regulatory Environment which may benefit Arnotts for Lead market or Respond to to stakeholders, relevant countries, and/or Regional Regulatory TAG networks. Lead the change for seamless implementation, this includes:
- Training and consultation to R&D and other business partners to advise on policy adherences, approved product claims & allergen declarations, and labelling requirements
- Proactive communication of pending regulatory changes to avoid compliance challenges or flag as opportunities for the business innovation agenda.
Regulatory Affairs, Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain a good active relationship with government / regulatory affairs bodies, professional organizations and network with Regional Arnotts Regulatory Affairs & System team
- Represent the business and establish an influential, effective presence with authorities, legislative bodies and industry associations relevant to the creation and maintenance of food policies, labelling and halal regulations
System Management
- Drive technical system development and standardization, ensure that all recipe/label is well documented and categorized accordingly with continuous improvement mindset
The ingredients to be successful
- A Bachelor degree from Food Technology is preferable
- Minimum of 4-7 years experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in Food Industry
- Strong range of knowledge, Master in Regulatory, Proficient in Formulation, and at least Basic in Ingredients Functionality and Nutrition
- Strong collaboration and prioritization skills
- Proficient in problem solving
- Strong communication and influencing skills both with internal and external parties
- Has strong network in regulatory bodies
- Whenever there is a complex situation regarding food regulation, labelling, ingredient availability/development, and recipe system, Regulatory Affairs and System Program Manager is able to provide a high level technical advice on regulatory compliance by considering strategic/business risk consideration.
- Knowledge on labelling regulations (nutrition information, allergen disclaimer, ingredient list, label information, registration process) in targeting export countries and Co-manufacturing customers.
