About the Role
We are looking for talented R&D Technology Lead to drive technology research, innovation, and incubation initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for identifying emerging technologies, developing proof-of-concepts, and translating insights into strategic recommendations and scalable solutions that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technology research and innovation initiatives, including defining R&D roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, and overseeing execution from exploration to prototype stage.
- Explore, evaluate, and develop proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, data platforms, and core system innovations.
- Conduct technology assessments and feasibility studies, covering technical, business, and risk aspects, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional R&D projects, including resource planning, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities and incubate technology-driven solutions through MVP development.
- Manage documentation and protection of innovation outputs, including Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Build and maintain innovation ecosystems through collaboration with internal teams and external partners (research institutions, communities, and technology partners).
- Prepare structured reports, insights, and recommendations for management on R&D initiatives and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in technology research, innovation, product development, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of emerging technology landscape, including AI/ML, blockchain, data platforms, core systems, and cloud-native architecture.
- Proven experience in conducting technology assessments, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concept development.
- Familiarity with product and innovation methodologies such as Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean Startup.
- Understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) management and technology innovation protection is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex technology into business value.
- Ability to read and synthesize technical literature, research papers, and industry reports.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
