Contract Type: Open to part-time and full-time

Monthly Salary: USD 300 - 700

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Quantity Surveyor to support our client in purchasing building materials, bathroom and lighting accessories, and other design-related items. The role involves calculating specifications, preparing accurate measurements, sourcing materials, and ensuring cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring together technical expertise in interior design and mechanical/electrical engineering with a strong aesthetic sense, ensuring smooth project execution and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate specifications for lighting and design projects, including lengths, areas, square footage, and material requirements.
• Determine appropriate types of lighting, LED strip measurements, LED driver pairings, and spotlight selections.
• Interpret and work with shop drawings, 3D drawings, and carpentry drawings.
• Understand and support smart home integrations (e.g., Philips Hue lighting system, automated blinds, and smart controls).
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials and labour.
• Analyze design drawings and translate them into precise material needs, supported with visual references.
• Source and evaluate suitable materials aligned with project requirements.
• Ensure all design solutions meet both functional and aesthetic standards.
• Work within tight schedules, occasionally including Saturdays (with compensatory weekday time off).

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Construction, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to translate drawings into accurate material specifications.
• Strong aesthetic judgment and design sense.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving mindset.
• Self-disciplined, proactive, and able to work independently.
