Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality and Health Safety Environment to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Quality. This role is key to ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities :

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain a strong understanding of IDS Group Manuals, SOPs, forms, and relevant maritime legislation (e.g., ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC, and regulations under the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation).
  • Assist in maintaining, revising, and standardizing the Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS)/ SMK3 (HSE Management System) to ensure alignment with national and international maritime standards.
  • Register and safely store all QHSE documentation including records required either physical library and shared digital drives.
  • Assist in Safety management System documentation, implementation, and review, ensuring full compliance with the ISM Code and Indonesian maritime laws.

Audits & Inspections

  • Assist in conducting internal audits onboard vessels and at shore facilities, tracking all follow-up actions.
  • Assist during external audits conducted by authorities, or clients, managing follow-up actions and documentation.
  • Conduct Project Quality, vessel, and terminal safety inspections within the IDS Group to identify and rectify unsafe practices (e.g., improper enclosed space entry, mooring hazards) and conditions.
  • Ensure all shipboard lifting gears, Life-Saving Appliances (LSA), Fire-Fighting Equipment (FFE), and electrical equipment are properly inspected according to marine regulatory requirements, keeping all certificates and records up to date.

Training & Safety Culture

  • Design, prepare, and broadcast routine safety communications and posters (e.g., PPE compliance, hazard reporting and etc.).
  • Assist with internal related training(s).
  • Help drive continuous improvement programs to promote a robust quality and safety culture amongst seafarers and shore-based IDS Group employees.
  • Facilitating Corporate Safety Committee and Safety Committee meetings.

General Duties

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, QHSE Manager, or Designated Person.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering/ Safety / Related field
  • Active Certificate from Kemnaker RI / BNSP for Ahli K3 Umum (AK3U)
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience in Shipyard company
  • Able to speak and write in English
