What will you work on

Manage quality, reliability, and safety compliance activities during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure that Spin Master products meet and/or exceed worldwide safety, chemical, and performance requirements, deliver optimal product reliability, and fulfill customer expectations for the product. This position will also monitor product performance in the field and pose improvements as required and use this information to anticipate and prevent issues on future products.

Supplier Quality

• Conduct in-process and system audit at supplier to ensure production process compliance with agreement
• Monitor the quality corrective action plan implement at supplier side to improve the product quality in mass production stage
• Suggest and follow up supplier production improvement process and to avoid systematic quality occurred
• Follow up quality issue from QC inspection to maintain product quality performance
• Provide training to 3rd party inspection agency and factory QC inspector to align the product quality requirement
• Coach and monitor new process implement in the factory to ensure product quality comply with requirement

Product Quality

• Handle product qualification test including internal testing and worldwide toy standard testing throughout the whole product development stage
• Coordinate review meeting with factories
• Perform analysis on quality defects, provide correction feedback and document all issues encountered
• Conduct new factory assessment in quality areas
• Write up product conformity test plan and shipment inspection specification

What are your skills and experience

• B.Eng / B.Sc 5+ years relevant experience in Quality Engineering for product safety and reliability
• Compliance experience with agency standards for safety or other similar requirements
• Desirable experience in areas of mechanical, electro-mechanical, PLC controllers, chemical or manufacturing engineering disciplines
• Experience with, and knowledge of, one or more of the following specialties desirable: consumer electronics, chemistry, food safety, plastics, clothing/fabrics
• Superior team and project management skills
