Purpose of the Role
The QC Inspector is responsible for conducting in-line, final random, pre-shipment, and installation inspections across a wide range of promotional merchandise, print materials, POSM (Point of Sale Materials), retail displays, signage, and marketing activation products.
The role ensures product quality throughout the entire production lifecycle, including raw material verification, in-process inspections, final inspections, packing, delivery, and installation.
The QC Inspector works closely with suppliers, laboratories, and internal stakeholders to ensure all products comply with client specifications, approved samples, quality standards, and ADM Indicia QA/QC requirements.
The position requires hands-on inspection experience across both softlines and hardlines product categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-line, final random, and pre-shipment inspections based on AQL standards.
- Perform quality inspections for promotional merchandise, print materials, POSM, retail displays, signage, and activation materials.
- Verify production output against approved Golden Samples, technical specifications, artwork files, and client requirements.
- Identify, classify, and report critical, major, and minor defects.
- Support supplier qualification, supplier audits, and corrective action follow-up.
- Monitor quality performance throughout production, packing, dispatch, and installation stages.
- Coordinate with suppliers, laboratories, production teams, and project stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare inspection reports and quality documentation in accordance with company and client standards.
Mandatory Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a QC Inspector, Quality Assurance Inspector, Product Inspector, or Supplier Quality Inspector.
- Proven experience conducting in-line and final random inspections for both softlines and hardlines products.
Experience inspecting multiple product categories, including
- Softlines: apparel, bags, textiles, uniforms, caps, lanyards, and other sewn products.
- Hardlines: toys, paper products, print materials, packaging, plastic products, film materials, wood products, metal products, glass products, acrylic products, displays, and promotional merchandise.
- Experience inspecting promotional merchandise, POSM, retail displays, print production, signage, or marketing activation materials is highly preferred.
- Experience working within inspection agencies, quality service providers, testing laboratories, or third-party inspection companies is strongly preferred.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Graphic Arts, Printing Technology, Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of AQL standards, sampling plans, and defect classification methodologies.
- Ability to inspect both Softline and Hardline products across multiple material categories.
- Ability to review technical specifications, engineering drawings, artwork files, material specifications, and approved Golden Samples.
- Understanding of product testing requirements, including mechanical and chemical testing standards.
- Familiarity with third-party testing and inspection processes.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is preferred.
