Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The QC Inspector is responsible for conducting random quality inspections across various categories based on business requirements, including premium merchandise, print and packaging materials, displays, signage, and marketing promotional and activation materials.

The role oversees inspections throughout the full production lifecycle, including incoming materials, in-process production, packing, delivery, and installation.

Working closely with the QA/QC Manager, the QC Inspector supports supplier audits and ensures suppliers comply with end-to-end QA/QC processes in accordance with ADM Indicia workflows, QC guidelines, and QC check sheets. This includes validating quality processes across design, production, dispatch, and installation stages.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum education requirement: Vocational High School (SMK/SMA) graduate with a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Graphic/Creative Design, Operations, or Quality Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a QC Inspector within merchandise, printing, retail, promotional agency, testing laboratory, or general manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in handling promotional merchandise, print production, and activation materials is preferred.

Hard Skills

  • Strong understanding of Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) standards, including sampling methods and permissible defect tolerance limits within production batches.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, artwork files, and material specification documents to ensure mass production output matches approved Golden Samples.
  • Ability to identify and classify defects into Critical, Major, and Minor categories based on quality standards and functional impact.
  • Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001 principles, is an advantage.

Mindset and Key Characteristics

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects such as color inconsistencies, logo distortion, stitching issues, or finishing defects.
  • Assertive in maintaining quality standards and making standardization decisions.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills when working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Must not be color blind.

Other Role Requirements

  • Hybrid working arrangement: 8 hours per day / 5 working days per week.
