About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our products before release. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify defects, validate features, and ensure a smooth user experience across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop comprehensive manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Execute manual test cases across web, API and/or mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.
Defect Identification & Reporting
- Log bugs clearly with steps to reproduce, expected vs actual results, screenshots, or recordings.
- Prioritize defects based on severity and impact.
- Work closely with developers to retest fixes and ensure issue closure.
Quality Assurance Processes
- Validate UI/UX consistency and adherence to design standards.
- Verify data accuracy, workflows, and edge cases.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, grooming, review) to ensure test coverage.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve quality processes.
- Maintain test documentation, test suites, and release checklists.
- Provide clear communication around testing status, risks, and timelines.
Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in manual software testing (web and/or mobile).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and basic Agile methodologies.
- Ability to write clear, structured test cases and bug reports.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar test management platforms.
- Experience testing UI, workflows, data validation, and business logic.
- Solid understanding of API testing, including crafting test cases for REST APIs, validating request/response payloads, status codes, and performing negative and edge-case testing using tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of SQL for simple data verification.
- Knowledge of basic automation concepts (even if not hands-on).
- Experience in cross-browser, cross-device testing.
- Experience testing SaaS or mobile applications.

- Identifies defects early in the development cycle through thorough test planning and proactive exploratory testing.
- Writes clear, reproducible bug reports that help developers resolve issues quickly and accurately.
