QC MECHANICAL STATIC INSPECTOR (Project Based)
Job Description :
- Perform inspection and quality control activities for pressure vessels, tanks, boilers, and heat exchangers in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Conduct surveillance and verification of fabrication processes, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and inspection test plans (ITP).
- Carry out inspection of welding activities, including fit-up, in-process welding, and final visual inspection.
- Perform and interpret Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) results (RT, UT, MT, PT) in accordance with ISO 9712 Level II qualification.
- Ensure welding works comply with applicable standards, holding knowledge and certification such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS, or PCN.
- Verify material conformity, including inspection of exotic materials such as stainless steel cladding and duplex stainless steel.
- Monitor linepipe manufacturing inspector processes, including coating activities, surface preparation, and coating application quality
- Identify, report, and document non-conformities, deviations, and quality issues, and follow up corrective actions with relevant parties.
- Ensure all inspection activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company quality procedures.
- Perform continual improvement and active in Preventive Action Program
Requirements :
- Bachelor Degree (S1) in Engineering or Science, (Preferrable Metallurgy, Mechanical, Civil)
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in inspection of Pressure Vessels, Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Oil & Gas fabrication, or Linepipe Manufacturing.
- Experienced in QA/QC inspection, vendor inspection, fabrication surveillance, and manufacturing inspection activities.
- Holding NDT Level II certification in accordance with ISO 9712, CSWIP, or PCN in at least two methods such as RT/RI, UT, MT, or PT.
- Holding Welding Inspector certification such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, or equivalent PCN certification.
- Having experience in inspection and handling of exotic materials including Stainless Steel Cladding, Duplex, and Super Duplex materials.
- Having experience in linepipe coating processes and inspection (Linepipe Manufacturing Inspector)
- Familiar with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, and client specifications
- Willing to be placed in our Head Office / Site Area / Fabrication
