QC COORDINATOR (PROJECT BASED CONTRACT)
Job Description :
- Perform and supervise welding and NDT inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Monitor fabrication, construction, installation, and testing activities for piping, pipelines, structural steel, pressure vessels, and offshore facilities.
- Review welding procedures, inspection reports, NDT results, and quality documentation.
- Ensure quality control requirements are implemented throughout engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams on quality-related matters.
- Support audits, quality assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain inspection and quality records.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (Marine/Naval, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related disciplines).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in QC inspection within offshore/onshore oil and gas projects, including structural steel, pipelines, piping systems, offshore installations, shipbuilding, and steel construction.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management and coordination of quality activities during engineering, construction, commissioning, start-up, or operations phases.
- Having a valid certification of Senior Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.2, PCN, or AWS equivalent).
- Having a valid certification of NDT at least two methods (RT/MT/PT or RT/UT) in accordance with ISO/PCN standards.
- Formal Quality Assurance and Auditor/Assessor training is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding, NDT, piping fabrication, pressure vessel codes, shipbuilding standards, and applicable industry codes (AWS, ASME, API, ISO, DNV, ABS, BV, LR, BKI).
- Good communication, coordination, and planning skills.
