QA-Software Engineer

PasarPolis has demonstrated exponential policy growth since closing of its Series A round in August 2018 participated by three Indonesian biggest unicorns - Gojek, Tokopedia and Traveloka - with the number of monthly policies issued growing more than 80 times ever since. The Company has successfully expanded across the region. To date, we are currently present in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and we have an R&D Center in India.

In August 2020, PasarPolis completed a US$54 million Series B funding round, which is considered the largest Series B funding recorded for an insurtech firm in Southeast Asia, and potentially it is also the biggest disclosed investment round for insurtech firms in the region. The round included participation from LeapFrog Investments, SBI Investment, Alpha JWC, Intudo Ventures, Go-Ventures and Xiaomi Ventures and will be used to support the company's growth plan. In February 2021, PasarPolis secured US$5 million funding from World Bank's sister organization International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple platforms.
• Identify, record, and track bugs through issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Collaborate with the development and product teams to clarify requirements and ensure quality from the start.
• Maintain and improve automated test suites (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, etc.).
• Participate in release validation and ensure smooth production rollouts.
• Contribute to QA process improvements, testing strategies, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Frontend, and QA, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, discussions, and proposals to improve system performance and team processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor'ss degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Good knowledge of REST APIs and tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing webapps and mobile apps (Android/iOS).
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or database validation.
