Job Description – QA Engineer / Software Tester

Responsibilities

Mastering Business Processes

Understand and master the business processes, requirements, and application workflows.

Work closely with the team to understand business requirements and ensure proper test coverage.

Test Planning & Scenario Development

Create an effective and comprehensive test plan and test scenarios that cover all required testing types and business needs.

Develop detailed test cases based on functional and business requirements.

Automation Testing & Manual Testing

Design, develop, and implement automated testing and manual testing.

Execute functional, regression, UI, API, integration, and other relevant testing activities.

Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.

Test Reporting

Design and implement test reporting.

Prepare clear and comprehensive test reports covering test execution results, defects, test coverage, and overall testing status.

Qualifications

1. Education

Bachelor's Degree (S1) in:

Information Technology

Computer Science

Electrical Engineering

2. Experience

Fresh graduate up to 2 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

3. Technical Skills

a. Understand the basics of microservice testing.

b. Capable of creating Test Scenarios and Test Cases and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

c. Solid understanding of SQL queries.

d. Good understanding of API fundamentals and API testing.

e. Have hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

4. Interpersonal & Communication Skills

a. Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with the team.

b. Eager to learn new technologies, tools, and processes.

c. Persistent and not easily discouraged when facing challenges.

d. Have a strong commitment to completing assigned tasks.

e. Fast learner with good logical and problem-solving abilities.

5. Analytical Skills

a. Have an eagle eye for details and the ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and potential issues.

b. Experience with automated testing in real projects is preferred. The team uses custom Playwright and Supertest with TypeScript for both UI and API testing.
